1 Urban Makers East

One of our favourite Christmas markets returns to the Mile End Ecology Pavillion for 2 weekends this festive season. With different designers each day selling everything from Christmas gifts and decorations, homewares, jewellery, art, candles and accessories. All sustainable and ethical. With loads of great stalls we’re sure you’ll find some unique presents to delight even your trickiest customers. Urban Makers East will also be running workshops on the day for you to make some handcrafted presents for loved ones.

2 Bow Arts Winter Market

Bow Arts’ annual Winter Market is back on Sunday 10th December, with over 20 pop up makers stalls and fun, festive family activities! Visitors will find everything from original prints, indie zines, and ceramic homeware, all the way over to hand-stitched gifts, etchings, bespoke jewellery, and much more. Alongside the main market, there will be a free, drop-in festive art workshop to give local families and kids the chance to get creative, as well as all the delicious mince pies, mulled wine, and tasty seasonal treats you could hope for on sale from their very own Nunnery Café.
3 Yokimono Japanese Christmas Market
Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd December 2023 11 am – 6 pm

YOKIMONO (よきもの, meaning ‘good things’ in Japanese) More than a Christmas Market, this is a Japanese cultural event in Dalston. Traders will be offering; delicious Japanese food & sweets, vintage kimonos, ceramics, illustrations, stationary, clothing, jewellery and much more – all made in Japan or produced by Japanese artists in London. As well as a wide variety of market stalls, there will be live performances from Japanese musicians, demonstrations of Furoshiki and Kimono, Ukiyoe art and Tea Ceremony.

4 Stepney City Farm Christmas Market
Saturday 19th December 2023, 10 am – 4 pm
Stepney City Farm, Stepney Way, London, E1 3DG
Away in a manger, there’s lots of shopping with 35 stalls offering delicious seasonal produce and festive crafts. Soak up the atmosphere with some mulled wine and merry music from a brass band. Resident artists will open their studios for the day and lunch will be available from both street food vendors and the Allotment Kitchen. Oh, and there’s always the animals to say hello to.
5 Christmas Wednesdays on Columbia Road
Every Wednesday 29th November to 20th December 2023 5-9pm
Columbia Rd, London E2 7RG
We think they will be back but there is no news yet!! Enjoy an evening of shopping in the Dickensian setting of Columbia Rd Christmas Markets. A market street with classic old world charm, Victorian street lamps and traditional shop fronts will be dressed in the season’s finest. Cruise the streets with mulled wine as you dip in and out of independent shops and peruse the market stalls. Let the festive market atmosphere have you singing along with the carols as you find the spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Tower Hamlets.
