WORLD CINEMA FILM FESTIVAL FAMILY DAY

World Cinema Film Festival Family Day

Local production company Bluebird Pictures are celebrating their 6th annual World Cinema Film Festival at the Broadway Theatre from 29th September – 1st October. The festival is Barking and Dagenham’s first and only international film festival and includes thought-provoking films, guest speakers and activities for the whole family. Join us from for a fun filled festival that will take you all over the world by celebrating culture and community through a universal love of film

 

FAMILY DAY

Recommended for parents with young children or children interested in TV & Film

11:00am – Check in, networking & kids activities. Activities for children include: Soft play area, face painting, model making and storyboarding.

12:30pm – The Mother of All Problems. A panel of professionals break down what it’s like to work in TV and film while being a parent and the pros and cons that come along with this. Hosted by Valeria Bullo, an experienced Production Executive and Production Consultant with a strong passion for mental wellbeing and inclusion in the TV and film industry. With a 16-year history in a wide range of high-level production experience including; physical on-set production and in-house developmental work. With panelists: Editor Zeb Achonu, Graphic Designer Camise Oldfield & Production Buyer Rachel Corbould

1:45pm – Child friendly films, A selection of short films for kids shown in the theatre.

3:00pm – Where to Start? A panel of professionals dissect the myths surrounding working in TV and film, designed especially for parents whose children want a career in the creative industry. Guest speakers include Actor Demmy Ladipo (Dreaming Whilst Black, We Are Lady Parts)Director Stella Corradi (Killing Eve, Sitting in Limbo) and Sector Lead for Film & Creative Industries in Barking & Dagenham Anna Wilson
