Kidslingo French Classes for Kids in Bow

Kidslingo Fun French Classes for Kids

Three different age-appropriate classes for kids starting in Bow this May and June

Parlez-vous Français? Learning another language can be extremely beneficial for all ages but it’s much easier for very young children. Kidslingo is starting the summer term with three different age-appropriate classes for kids aged 0-7 years that can help them learn to speak French as they grow. Baby & Preschool classes start at St Paul’s Old Ford in Bow on Thursday the 9th of May, and Saturday classes will start on the 1st of June for children aged 4-7. You can book a free taster to see if it’s right for your little one.

Baby Programme

Their Baby Programme is a music and multi-sensory class with a flavour of French, supported by Makaton, suitable for babies from birth to 18 months. A great way to bond with your baby and pick up some ways to share the French language with your little one at home.

Benefits of Learning Another Language

Kidslingo is a passionate believer in exposing children to languages from a young age, with research linking many benefits to the early uptake of a foreign language, not least a greater linguistic ability later in life.

As we grow older and become accustomed to the sound of our own native language, we start to lose the ability to hear and mimic the unfamiliar sounds of a foreign language. Becoming an expert in only our own language eventually closes down once receptive synapses and makes it difficult for our brains to accept different language structures.

Learning another language is not only great for conversing with people of other cultures and broadening our world view, it is also excellent for understanding our own language better. Knowing the way another language works encourages us to examine our own language’s mechanics in a positive way. Bilingual children also tend to have more grey matter in their brains and statistically to do better on standardised tests.

Debbie who runs the Tower Hamlets Kidslingo Franchise, a mum of two herself, has spent most of her life studying and working with modern languages. A true Francophile, she has thoroughly loved living in France and has worked in the language industry for 20 years. It was the birth of her second child that brought her back to London where she discovered the Kidslingo family. Her favourite part of teaching French to children is watching their passion for language grow.
