Our round-up of East London summer camps to help keep your kids busy this summer
The Summer Holidays are fast approaching! Have you got your childcare plans sorted? The school holidays can be an excellent time to make up for cuts to art, drama, music and sport in the curriculum with specialist summer camps while multi-activity summer camps are perfect for children who would like to try out lots of different things. They’ll spend their days exploring new talents and finding new hobbies so you can keep up your juggling act.
Pollyanna Training Theatre
Pollyanna Training Theatre Summer Camp is a about building confidence, making friends and exploring creativity. Kids love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere which is why Pollyanna Training Theatre is so popular with families in East London. This year children ages 5-11 years can choose from 2 themes. The first week is all about Heroes and Villains and trying out new personalities and having a laugh getting down with their bad, and their best, selves. The second week is out of this world with a space inspired week of arts and crafts, prop making, singing, dancing, drama, games and more!
Each week is £115 – book early as spaces are limited. Book by 14th July to get £5 off each week.
Kids will require a healthy packed lunch.

12th July to the 27th August, each week of Camp Canary boasts a different theme to give the children lots of variety. Camp Canary is now Ofsted Registered so you can now use childcare vouchers and tax free allowance for this quality multi-activity summer camp. Sign your little ones aged 4-12 (must turn 5 in August) for a day or a week or more. The camp runs from 9:30am-5:30pm with an optional breakfast club and a 10% sibling discount. QMSU Sports Camp
QMSU Sports Camp offers an excellent value camp for families of children aged 8-13 years. Running from July 26th – August 13th, the camp will give children the opportunity to participate in up to 15 different sports and activities per week. Children of all abilities are encouraged to develop their sporting and social skills in an engaging, enjoyable and positive environment. They can attend for a standard day running 10am-4pm or extended day 9am-5pm.

Camp Horizons Summer Camp
Camp Horizons is an Ofsted-registered Summer Camp provider for children 6-14, offering a great variety of activities for children (including sports, dance, drama and escape rooms!) and affordable childcare for parents. Parents can also use childcare vouchers and the Government’s Tax-free Childcare scheme. Tower Hamlets Holiday Childcare
The Tower Hamlets Holiday Childcare Scheme is Ofsted registered and provides childcare for children aged 3 to 13 years old. The holiday provision takes place in Tower Hamlets schools and operates during the school holidays, (excluding the Christmas break), from an option between 8am to 6pm (for working parents) or 9am to 5pm. Parents should provide their child with a healthy packed lunch. These clubs are often fairly oversubscribed so make sure to book in advance. Make sure to follow their instructions to apply and fill out an application form for a place for your little one.

Better House Club
Drop your kids off at Mile End Leisure Centre for some Holiday Club fun. Better run holiday camps to suit lots of different interests. Each day is pre-planned with activities ranging from sports activities to arts and crafts. These activities include football, zorbing, swimming, gymnastics and practicing their badminton serve.
