Sign your children up for creativity-fuelled February half term days in East London with The Art Imaginarium’s Lost City of Atlantis camp, designed for children aged 5–11 who love to make, imagine and explore.
This immersive half-term camp in the East London boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets combines arts and crafts, storytelling, and circus skills, giving children the space to experiment, express themselves, and build confidence in a warm, supportive environment.
February Half Term Theme: The Lost City of Atlantis
This fun-filled and imaginative week takes children on a creative journey beneath the waves. Inspired by myths, legends and deep-sea worlds, children will create a wide range of hands-on projects across the week, including:
- An octopus mask
- A sunken treasure chest
- An Atlantis necklace
- A Lost City of Atlantis clay creation
- A treasure map
- A deep-sea mixed-media artwork
- A Lost City of Atlantis history book
Art, Circus and Confidence-Building Play
Alongside daily arts and crafts, children can enjoy circus play, including hula hooping and juggling, as well as group games and imaginative activities. These sessions support physical confidence, collaboration and creative problem-solving.
The week finishes on a high with a treasure hunt, party games and celebrations, bringing everything together in a joyful end-of-week finale.

Founded in Hackney, Loved by East London Families
The Art Imaginarium was founded in Dalston by Catherine Embleton, a passionate artist and educator with a background in theatre design. Catherine created the camp after seeing a need for a holistically caring, genuinely creative half term camp for children in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
Drawing on her love of art and circus, she developed a programme that nurtures creativity while helping children feel confident, calm and supported.
Creativity and Well-Being at the Heart of the Camp
The Art Imaginarium goes beyond traditional holiday camps by placing equal value on creative expression and emotional well-being. Through guided activities, children are encouraged to slow down, trust their ideas and enjoy being present in the moment.
These confidence-building approaches help children develop skills they can carry with them long after the school holidays end.
Safety First: Peace of Mind for Parents
Parents can book with confidence knowing that:
- There are two safeguarding leads on site
- Two qualified first aiders are present
- All staff are fully DBS-checked
- The adult-to-child ratio is a maximum of 1:8
Every child receives the care, attention and supervision they need in a safe, inclusive setting.
Flexible Booking for Busy Families
There are no minimum attendance requirements, giving parents the flexibility to book the days that work best for them. Whether your child joins for a single day or the full week, they’ll be fully welcomed into the camp experience.
Early drop-off and late pick-up options make this a practical choice for working families in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
