Don’t Miss Vikings: The Immersive Experience Coming to East London this Spring

If you’re looking for something fun and educational to do with the kids in East London this Spring, check out Vikings: The Immersive Experience at Canada Water. We’re very excited to have a family ticket to give away!

East London is being invaded by Vikings this Spring! Opening at Dock X on the 12th March, a revolutionary new immersive, educational and historical exhibition will tell the story of the Vikings beyond the battlefield with a view into the lives of the Viking World’s most formidable family: King Ragnar Lodbrok and the wise Queen Kraka, along with their world-conquering and fearsome sons Ivar The Boneless, Bjorn Ironside, Hvitserk and Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye.

Mark your calendar to join the waiting list and be the first to secure your preferred time slot in their exclusive pre-sale, starting on the 3rd of February. You and your family are sure to love this thrilling blend of history and mythology, following the mystical story of Queen Kraka.

Queen Kraka’s Tale of Love, Fate, Wisdom, and Vengeance

Rather than focusing only on ‘his’ story of raids and battles, this experience centres on the remarkable story of Queen Kraka (also known as Aslaug) – a clever, courageous seer whose wisdom helped shape Viking history.

The journey begins with an atmospheric opening film before visitors wander through a full-size forest of discovery where you’ll encounter a towering mythological Yggdrasil tree known as “The Tree of Light” or “World Tree”.

The immersive woodland will be filled with interactive displays about daily Viking life, beliefs and rituals. Children can try knot-tying, explore touch screens, handle replicas, and ask questions via a ‘talking portrait’, while adults enjoy the rich storytelling and historical detail.

The highlight is a dramatic immersive show set around a full-scale Viking longship, combining projections, music and movement to bring sagas of love, bravery and destiny vividly to life. Younger visitors can also enjoy a dedicated Junior VR experience designed especially for them.

Educational, imaginative and visually spectacular, this is a brilliant option for parents looking for something a bit different to do together in East London this Spring.
