We’re terribly excited to give away a family ticket aboard this thrilling adventure through history. Now celebrating its 5th year, The Horrible Histories Terrible Thames Tour is a frightfully fun day out for all the family and educational too!
Set sail on the Terrible Thames Tour for a hilarious, high-energy journey through London’s history, led by the delightfully dreadful crew behind Horrible Histories. This isn’t your average sightseeing cruise. Your kids will love the gory tales as the actors pile on the poop jokes with shocking detail of the city. You might not ever look at London the same way again.
Even though the weather wasn’t on our side during our last voyage, we still had a brilliant time. Our boys especially loved singing along to the sea shanties, and there was loads of audience participation to keep spirits high, even in the drizzle.
It’s a wonderfully silly and educational way to experience the city, and absolutely perfect for a sunny summer’s day out with the kids. It’s also a crowd pleaser if you’ve got relatives visiting during the holidays who want to see the sights with a giggle that all ages can enjoy as long as they’re still kids at heart.

Join the Celebrations
On Saturday 19th July the Terrible Thames Tour will mark its fifth anniversary with a day of wickedly wonderful celebrations.
From riotous royals to villainous vagabonds, meet a cast of notorious characters from the Thames’ gruesome past. You’ll encounter the likes of Queen Boudica, King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Guy Fawkes, Captain Kidd and more who’ll be lurking by the quay, ready to share their terrible tales before you embark on London’s hilariously historical attraction!
You’ll even get to meet the one and only cunning genius behind the whole thing! Horrible Histories creator, Terry Deary. Say hello and grab a photo with the man who’s been delighting (and disgusting) generations with his brilliantly beastly books.
