What I love about gift shopping in a bookshop is it gives you a great chance to really think about the person you are buying for and the conversations you have had over the years. Books are great ways to take a conversation further, especially if you buy the same book for yourself or just sneakily read theirs before you give it to them – just don’t spill any wine on it!
Bard’s book selection is excellent for adults and children alike. They have curated books that reflect diverse voices, niche topics, and lesser-known authors. And while it doesn’t fall into any of those categories, my son was chuffed to bits with his signed copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid despite being a reluctant reader.
