Our pick of pumpkin patches near East London for your family to enjoy. Lots of farms have extra entertainment for the kids to enhance their pumpkin picking experience. Don’t forget to wear your wellies!
1 Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park’s Halloween Festival
Dress up in your favourite costumes and explore this farm at its frightening best. Experience thrilling performances, a Day of the Dead dance party, enchanting spell lessons, eerie walkthroughs, a pumpkin picking area, adventurous play zones, bouncy cushions, cute animals and a whole lot more!
2 Halloween at Mudchute
While not exactly a pumpkin patch, you will be able to pick up a pumpkin there and it wins for convenience. On the 28th of October, wear your creepiest costumes for a family fun event with costume and pumpkin carving competitions. Pumpkins will be available to purchase on the day but you’ll need to bring your own carving tools. Enjoy some delicious farm fresh food and visit the animals while you’re there.

3 Halloween Pumpkin Patch
Foxes Farm Produce in Basildon has over 30 pumpkin and squash varieties for you to choose from for carving, crafting, or cooking. Kids can enjoy some horribly wholesome activities like straw bale sofas, bale mountain, wheelbarrows, and photo ops. Plus, a fun field area with farm obstacles, a slide, games, face painting and more.
4 Pumpkin Festival at Lathcoats Farm
Pick your own pumpkins and apples too at Lathcoats Farm in Galleywood, Essex. They advise getting in early as stocks are limited. They’ve also got a spooky Halloween Trail but they don’t offer much more information about what to expect.

5 Cammas Hall
One of our favourite pumpkin patches near East London but also not that near. We think it’s worth going the distance though as Cammas Hall really dials up the Halloween fun for kids and their grown ups. Animatronic elements that jump out at you and character actors really bring the experience to life. Their hot cocoa is delicisou too. The trails have different fright levels and my son is feeling confident he can handle the one for bigger kids this year. Check out our reel from last year.
6 Old MacDonald Farm’s Halloween Festival
Things are getting spooky at Old MacDonald’s Farm this Halloween with a Haunted House and Magic School. There will be scary stories and a ghost trail along with a pumpkin patch and animal talks with Sunny the Owl. Kids can get crafty with Artbound on the 21st-29th. Oh, and there’s a hair raising roller coaster!
7 Halloween Spooktacular at Appleby Street Farm
Head to Appleby Street Farm this Halloween for fairy potion making with unicorns and dragons. Live puppetry, slime making and story time along with their pumpkin patch including great big massive ones and smaller cute ones. Oh and DJ Haggerty will bewitch you with her boogey beats.
